Quick answer
Do not restart your save first. Use cover to break line of sight, let shields recharge, then either isolate one turret at a time or switch to Attack Setup before exposing yourself. If the room still feels impossible, check patch notes because the developer identified a turret-count scaling bug.
A Steam developer reply confirmed the turret encounter could feel unbalanced because turret count was not scaling correctly with difficulty. Treat this as a live balance issue and recheck patch notes before turning it into permanent advice.
Checklist
- Confirm you are in the early tunnel room where the door closes and turrets block progress.
- Before charging in, stop behind cover and watch which turrets can see you from that angle.
- Use the environment to isolate one turret, take a short firing window, then move back to recharge shields.
- If you choose the offensive route, switch to Attack Setup and verify the bottom-left icon changes to the red flame state before committing.
- Destroy exposed turrets quickly, then leave line of sight instead of staying in the room with low shields.
- Check your current difficulty and build version if the turret count looks higher than expected.
- If the same room still cannot be cleared after several controlled attempts, stop and look for a newer patch note before restarting the campaign.
Do not do this
- Do not delete saves or restart the whole campaign before checking line of sight, shields, attack setup, and current patch notes.
- Do not copy old demo keybind advice blindly; confirm the current target, setup, and attack controls in your own settings screen.
- Do not install trainers, cheats, or unofficial balance files to pass the first turret room.
